Character Bios

Mickey (Matthew McConaughey)

Mickey Pearson is an American expatriate who has made millions cultivating a highly-profitable marijuana business in London. Now looking to get out of the business and become a member of the cultural elite, he finds himself surrounded by several unsavory characters looking to take over his empire.

Ray (Charlie Hunnam)

Ray works as Mickey’s consigliere to Mickey and his drug empire. Twitchy, slightly psychotic and dealing with a touch of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Ray is very detail-obsessed and is determined to keep business booming, no matter what the cost.

Fletcher (Hugh Grant)

Fletcher is an unscrupulous private investigator looking to dig up dirt on Mickey for a tabloid newspaper editor seeking revenge. Fletcher is willing to do whatever it takes to get the goods on Mickey, but as soon as he finds what he needs, he realizes that his info would be just as valuable to the people trying to take over Mickey’s business.

Coach (Colin Farrell)

Coach may be rough around the edges, but his heart is good as gold. A boxing instructor who takes the heat for some of the kids he taught who robbed Mickey, Coach is willing to pay back the kids’ debt by doing whatever it takes, up to a point.

Dry Eye (Henry Golding)

Young, brash and inexperienced, Dry Eye is a wannabe Asian crime lord whose aggressiveness and unpredictability leads him to overcompensate for his leadership flaws. Determined to commandeer Mickey’s empire, Dry Eye finds himself in over his head and looking for a way to not ruin his chance at the big time.

Rosalind (Michelle Dockery)

Mickey’s wife and the matriarch of his empire, Rosalind is as tough as nails and won’t back down from anyone. Her counsel and guidance to Mickey is one of the main reasons the business is as successful as it is, and she is the person that Mickey trusts most.
