Many people have difficulty or the inability to swallow pills. The medical term for this difficulty is Dysphagia. Some are truly challenged with this, and others have an aversion to swallowing pills. There are many other reasons that medications can be difficult to swallow.
This can affect people of all ages, as well as pets and some large animals. When this occurs, and there are no liquid or other alternative medication forms, pills may need to be crushed into a powder and sprinkled into food such as applesauce or pudding or mixed into a liquid. Some may have feeding tubes, and medication must be ground into a fine powder to be delivered safely and effectively through their feeding tube. The easiest and most effective way to grind medicines is with a pill grinder or, as some may call it, a pill crusher.

MAXGRIND is a revolutionary, high-quality twist pill crusher and grinder featuring an ergonomic, easy-to-grip and twist design providing dual action crushing and grinding. Simple pepper grinder action delivers fine powder.
Allows medication to be delivered in two ways
1. Into the snap-on bottom clear cup
2. Directly into a 1 oz disposable med cup that fits nicely into the bottom clear cup (the med cup is not part of this product)
Smart Grinding System
Easy Dual Action Crushing & Grinding
Unlike traditional twist crushers which stop crushing when the top is tightened against the bottom, MAXGRIND features a unique twist design that continues to grind medication when tightened. Once the top is twisted down to initially break and crush pills, a simple reverse twist then slight pressure on the top allows the grinding surface to freely spin similar to a pepper grinder.
Exclusive Top Down Crushing into Serving Cup
If you continue to free spin the MAXGRIND in the upright position after crushing is complete, air will circulate within the crusher and blow the remaining powder into the bottom cup. This will result in minimal medication remaining on the grinding surface and in the crushing well. A clear, snap-on serving cup allows easy viewing and collection of crushed medication, so you can easily check the progress.
Less Residue Left Behind Due to Smart Design
Ridges on the grinding surface provide fast, dual-action. Uniquely shaped and spaced ridges on the top crushing surface both crush and grind medications into a fine powder that is sifted into the bottom serving cup. These ridges are designed so that powder is pushed out and funneled through the crusher into the bottom serving cup, leaving less residue behind which ensures a more complete dose.
Top Pill Storage Compartment with Hinged Lid
With our MAXGRIND pill crusher, you will get two functions in one clever product. The top compartment with a hinged lid is ideal for storing your medication or vitamins. That will come in handy in many situations, such as when you're traveling or need to take your pills to work. Our smart grinder is also able to crush multiple pills at once with minimal effort.
HOW TO USE: Step 1
Remove the top and place pill(s) into the well. Replace the top and continue to twist until you feel the top starting to tighten. Twist clockwise until you feel the initial crush/ breaking of pills.
Step 2
After the initial crush, turn a slight twist counterclockwise into a free spin mode where grinding will start. Now with slight pressure on the top twist the crusher back and forth like a pepper grinder.
Step 3
The powder will sift into the bottom cup. When crushing is completed, you will notice a change in the crusher tone. For best results, continue to free spin for air to sift any remains. Remove bottom cup.
Optional
If you prefer to use your own 30 ml disposable plastic cup, place it in the clear bottom cup before grinding and follow steps 1 to 3. You can then remove the disposable cup and administer the dose.
Easy Maintenance
The MAXGRIND's bottom clear cup can be used not only to collect medicine and supplement powder, but you can also add liquid to mix your medications with for even easier administration.
The clean-up is easy. When you're finished grinding, take off the bottom clear plastic cup and the cap to remove any pill residue from the crusher. Rinse with warm water and let it dry completely before using to ensure proper grinding action.
