Purity: All our essential oil undergo a thorough 9-Point Test both in-house and independent 3rd party laboratory. Internally, we perform tests on pH, viscosity, traditional blotter test, and organoleptic testing: a method of testing oils by using the five senses. Externally, we perform GC/MS (Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry) tests. All results are compared against a set of standards. Essential oil needs to pass all 9-Point Tests to be considered for PURA D'OR Purity. Furthermore, all our essential oils are USDA Certified Organic, unlike our competitors who sell non-organic oils from unknown sources. Being USDA Organic means that a government sponsored agency inspects our physical location in California at least once a year to make sure we conform to the highest standards in the industry.
Potency: Potency and Freshness is a direct correlation. We only purchase fresh essential oil from the source. We do not purchase through any middleman. This ensures that the oil you receive comes from crops that were just harvested to be pressed as recently as a few weeks ago. Unlike many private label reseller, they have no control over quality and source; we are a manufacturer so we have direct control over every single processes from soil quality, to crop selection to pressing techniques to bottling: The entire supply chain.
