• CEYLON CINNAMON - Frontier Co-op Organic Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) comes from a small evergreen tree called Cinnamomum Zeylanicum that belongs to the Lauraceae family. It is native to Sri Lanka. Its bark is used to make cinnamon, and it has a distinctive shape, lighter color tone, and more delicate flavor compared to other types of cinnamon.
• A VERSATILE INGREDIENT - This cinnamon adds a sweet and spicy flavor to teas, hot chocolate, and many baked desserts. Sprinkle some shavings into your banana bread, ice cream, or even hot chocolate for a flavorful burst with a pleasant aroma. You can use these sticks as an air freshener too!

Great Ways To Use Frontier Co-op Cinnamon Sticks

  • Use as a stirring stick in your coffee or tea, cider and cocktails to add subtly infused flavor.
  • Add a whole stick to oatmeal or cream of wheat while you are cooking it.

INEAPPLE TEPACHE WITH CINNAMON AND CLOVES

RECIPE: PINEAPPLE TEPACHE WITH CINNAMON AND CLOVES

Directions

  1. Dissolve sugar in a pint of water in the jar. You may use hot water; if you do, wait until mixture falls below body temperature before proceeding to next step.
  2. Add cinnamon, other spices and pineapple chaff to the jar.
  3. Add (room-temperature) water to two inches below mouth of jar.
  4. Secure towel or filter over mouth of jar using ring portion of lid, and leave at room temperature.
  5. The wine is ready after 4 days to a week; strain and drink. Or if you prefer vinegar, wait 3 or 4 weeks, then strain and store in a sealed container.

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 4 Cloves, Whole
  • 1 Star Anise, whole
  • Husk and core (but not crown) of one organic pineapple, rough-cut into 1-inch chunks
  • 1 paper towel or basket-style coffee filter, unbleached
  • A half-gallon canning jar with two-part lid
