The sleek, ultra-compact E1B-MV is the latest addition to our Backup line, originally developed as backup lights for law enforcement pros. This outstanding everyday-carry light sets itself apart from the rest of the Backup family with its broad, useful MaxVision Beam, created by a special faceted reflector that shapes the LED’s light into a smooth, seamless wall of light that’s perfect for closer-range applications and maintaining situational awareness.

High-Performance MaxVision LED
The Backup's dual-output LED is paired with a proprietary reflector to create our MaxVision Beam, a useful wall of light that fills in the space around you.
Tailcap Switch
With a simple click of the push-button tail caps, the Backup deliver a continuous high-output beam for a minimum of 1.25 hours. Clicking its tail cap twice yields a battery-saving 5 lumens, ideal for the most basic low-light tasks such as map reading and other close-range applications.
Pocket Clip
Stainless steel two-way pocket clip that allows for bezel-up or -down carry.
Dual Output
The E1B-MV uses a single 123A disposable battery to power this field-of-vision-optimized beam at two useful outputs—400 and 5 lumens—and is programmed to lead with high output as a tactical/self-defense light should.

The sleek, compact E1B-MV has the broad max vision beam that is optimized for your field of vision with plenty of peripheral illumination. It is designed as an outstanding everyday-carry light for most any application. Click-type switch - partially press tail cap pushbutton for momentary-on high output; press further to click constant-on high. Return to off and press or click again within two seconds for low output. The brilliant 400-lumen high output beam provides a broad max vision beam that is optimized for your field of vision with plenty of peripheral illumination. The lumen low output is perfect for reading a map, checking an ID, or navigating in low light with minimal degradation to your dark-adapted vision. The backup can run at this level for 50 hours, a valuable feature for outdoor or emergency situations. A tough, lightweight mil-spec hard-anodized aluminum body protects the E1B-MV backup's sophisticated electronics, and its smooth contours minimize clothing snag and pressure points. A two-way clip allows head-up or head-down carry.
