Maxi II
Eco, Advance, or EX
The Brinsea Maxi II are medium-sized, high-quality egg incubators combining ease of use and all-round visibility making them ideal for hobbyists, teachers and small scale breeders. Available in Eco, Advance or EX models the 3 versions of the Maxi II give a wide choice of convenience, sophistication and budget but all provide the essential environmental control necessary for successful egg hatching.
The Maxi II Eco with proportional electronic temperature control and manual turning can hold up to 30 hen eggs and is an ideal entry-level incubator or hatcher. The popular Maxi II Advance 14 hen egg incubatorwith Brinsea's fully digital control system includes programmable automatic turning with count down to hatch day and autoturn stop, accurate control and display of temperature and alarms. The top of the range Maxi II EX does not have count down to hatch day but instead includes display and full automatic humidity control for complete peace of mind.
Humidity Control
Humidity is a crucial factor in successful hatching and the EX version with its integrated pump puts accurate automatic control of humidity in the hands of breeders of valuable and hard-to-incubate eggs. Both the Eco and Advance versions have convenient external water top-up so it is never necessary to lift the lid which is essential during lock down!
Egg Handling
In the manual turn Maxi II Eco eggs just sit in the base of the incubator and will need to be turned manually at least twice a day. A semi-automatic turning kit is available part#B07GXNLNNR. In the fully automatic Advance and EX versions eggs are turned by rotating egg disks. Two disks are available, one for 14 eggs of all sizes up to duck and a second for 40 small eggs up to the size of pheasant.

The popular Brinsea Maxi II EX has been redesigned to hold more eggs and be even more flexible. The single ring egg disk has been replaced by an innovative mix-and-match quadrant system available in 4 variants allowing users to incubate more eggs of the same size or eggs of different sizes at the same time. Perfect for incubating rare breeds and highly valuable eggs this 24-egg incubator provides the convenience of programmable automatic turning with the reassurance of digital alarms and integral automatic control of humidity. The new Maxi 24 EX is menu driven and extremely easy to use. In normal operation the display shows incubation temperature, humidity and turning status. Opening the menu allows the user to adjust incubation temperature, the unit °C or °F, incubation humidity %RH, turning interval down to a minimum of 5 minutes ideal for parrots, turning angle, cooling duration and high and low temperature alarm limits. Humidity is accurately controlled: just program the desired humidity level, keep the external humidity pump reservoir (not provided) topped up and the incubator does the rest. Eggs are turned by rotating egg quadrants. Four sets are supplied, one for 24 medium chicken eggs, one for 12 large chicken, duck or turkey eggs, one for 40 small quail eggs and one for 8 extra large eggs like goose. The clear walls of the egg chamber mean fantastic visibility of the hatching eggs without lifting the lid and the fan assisted design coupled with detailed airflow analysis results in exceptionally even heating of the eggs to ensure consistent and reliable hatches. Like all Brinsea products the Maxi 24 EX egg incubator comes with a 3-year warranty subject to registration.
