Review

A great book that encourages girls to be who they are and to feel happy with their bodies.

From the Author

"You're perfect the way you are," is a message I really believe in.  Children are constantly subjected to images and videos depicting both men and women with unrealistic bodies.  Obviously, I think it's important to eat healthy and exercise, but not all of us are going to look like an Olympic athlete or a supermodel, and that's okay.  I think it's important to love yourself and the way you look, even though it's definitely easier said than done.  Your friends and family love you the way you are, and you should too.

From the Back Cover

A young girl feels self-conscious whenever she sees a reflection of herself and asks her family if parts of her body are normal.

About the Author

Richard Nelson is a children's book author from Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada. Richard loves spending time with family and going on "adventures". His interests include family time, photography, board games, and fishing. Richard grew up with a passion for children's books and loved story time before bed as a child. This tradition carried on with his own family. Between his wife and himself, they strived to read at least one book every night to their daughter. His favorite children's books include many of the "I Can Read" books, "the Monster at the end of this Book", and "Bambi Gets Lost". His plan for the future is to create many more children's books that bring family's closer together and smiles on children's faces.
