Innovative Design - the Original BeaterBlade
The Original BeaterBlade scrapes the mixing bowl with its patented (Patent #3751926) two blade, "wing-system" design that acts like a wiper blade to continuously mix, beat, fold, and scrape ingredients from the sides and bottom of the bowl. Virtually eliminating the “Stop and Scrape” syndrome.
Efficient and Thorough Mixing
The Original BeaterBlade cuts mixing times by up to 50%, giving you more time to create other things…like frosting. Cake batters come out silky smooth, cookie doughs are thoroughly blended and anything else you can dream up will be mixed better than using the flat beater. Go ahead…mix something delicious.
No Need for a Spatula
By continuously scraping the sides of the mixing bowl, the Original BeaterBlade virtually eliminates batter build-up and the need to hand-scrape the mixing bowl. It directs ingredients into the center of the bowl and incorporates ingredients 100% for perfect consistency every time. When mixing is complete, take the BeaterBlade off the mixer and it will double as a spatula for your final stir.

The next generation of BeaterBlade with a full metal frame is stronger than ever and easily mixes the thickest batter. The powder coated aluminum frame is durable, sleek and beautiful, it will not chip or break. And just like the Original BeaterBlade, the flexible plastic blade is free of rubber, silicone and Teflon and is attached to the frame using double-overmold construction which eliminates any unsanitary crevices for food to get stuck in. The BeaterBlade METAL consistently scrapes and folds down into the center of the bowl, completely incorporating ingredients for perfect consistency every time.

The patented Wing-Blade technology virtually eliminates the need for hand-scraping the bowl and pushes ingredients down to the dimple, in the bottom of the bowl, thoroughly combining all ingredients, 50% faster. To achieve a fluffy, aerated mixture (think creamed butter and sugar), beat at a higher speed. To achieve a smooth, thick mixture (think cheese cake), beat at lower speed. Use the BeaterBlade as a hand-held spatula to transfer every bit of batter into the pan. KA-5L BeaterBlades are compatible with most KitchenAid 5 Quart Bowl-Lift stand mixers, however it does NOT work with a 5 Quart glass bowl or the Professional 5-Plus mixer.
