Macedonia: The Cookbook: Recipes and Stories from the Balkans

Contents

“This is a book written straight from the heart. Katerina’s stories and recipes are an affectionate celebration of her Macedonian heritage, transporting you right to her family table, enjoying dishes that are respectful of tradition and yet accessible to everyone.” —Irina Georgescu, author of Carpathia: Food from the Heart of Romania

Macedonian cuisine has always been closely connected to the culture of the area. Because of this, it was important for Katerina Nitsou to write a cookbook that highlights this connection. Macedonia: The Cookbook does just that, making it the perfect purchase for any cook looking for the authentic Macedonian experience.

  • Read an introduction to Macedonian culture
  • Over 100 recipes to try and enjoy, adapted to work in a North American kitchen
  • Enjoy family stories or notes about the cuisine at the beginning of each recipe
  • Full-color photos throughout the pages, showing off the beauty of Macedonian cuisine and the beauty of the country itself
