The Benchmark Scientific H5000-HC Multi-Therm Vortex Shaker vortexes, heats, and cools in continuous timed operation at a variable speed of 200 to 1,500rpm and with temperature control from 0 to 100 degrees C for molecular biology applications. The timer can be set for one minute to 99 hours, 99 minutes of continuous operation. This vortex shaker accepts interchangeable H5000 series blocks (sold separately) to accommodate a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) plate or tube sizes from 0.2mL to 50mL. Its LCD shows actual and selected values for speed, time, and temperature, and has a sequence link function for linking or repeating programs. An over-temperature control helps ensure sample integrity. Vortex shakers are commonly used in laboratories to mix liquids.
