I created Pure Food because:

1. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that reduced my ability to digest foods like corn, dairy, and soy.
2. I couldn't find any plant based protein powders without the fillers, “natural” flavors, sweeteners, and other junk.
3. After doing plenty of research, I found that most protein powder companies source their proteins and other ingredients from China, where ingredient standards are far less stringent.

As a small, family-owned business trying to compete with mega corporations who put profits over health, we believe what wins hearts and minds is when products (and the people behind them) are REAL.

That’s why all Pure Food products are made from real, organic, plant-based food instead of chemicals and junk your body (and our planet) doesn’t need.

We refuse to add sugars, "flavors", gums, or fillers like everyone else, even if it means selling a few less products.

We source our NSF-certified products from the U.S. and Canada (not China like everyone else) and produce them in a GMP-certified, FDA-approved facility here in the USA.

And since day 1, we’ve donated 5 meals to Feeding America’s Detroit-based chapter, Forgotten Harvest for every order we get (over 70,000 meals donated to date!).

Because we believe all businesses should give back to their communities.
