From the UK, Wendy speaks five languages and has authored over 150 educational books. The inspiration for this captivating series that appeals to both healthy and sick children stems from personal experience: Her daughter, Katie, at the age of 8, undergoing many tests and major surgery during a prolonged hospital stay.

Wendy could not find any materials to help Katie. This kindled a dream: to write an extensive series of interesting storybooks, introducing children to the wonders of modern medicine with topics ranging from diagnostic tools to common procedures and rare conditions.
