Dear Readers (both young, and young-at-heart),
The Tuck & Ginger series follows the adventures of my two real-life cats. I adopted Tuck & Ginger from the local animal pound, which had a small room set aside for all the cats needing a forever home. I could have chosen any of the twenty or so cats in that small room that day. But the scared little black one (who came to be known as Tuck / Tuckerby / Tuck-Tuck) and the pushy orange one (who came to be known as Nip / Minky / Ginger / Gingerella) didn't give me a choice. They both instantly stole my heart. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Cats On The Run and Cats Undercover very much tap into the real personalities of Tuck and Ginger. He is terrified of the hoover. And she is most definitely the boss in the relationship. When reading the books you'll also encounter characters like Major, Minnie, Bunk, and Dora - to name a few - and just like Tuck and Ginger, all these kitties exist in real life too.
