Editor's Note: Because the glasses are mouth blown, each one may have slight variations in height, thickness, and weight. Bodum recommends using care when placing ice into the glass to avoid fracturing the inner layer. Do not use metal spoons or place the glass into a crowded dishwasher.

A silicone vent at the base of each Bodum double wall glasses equalizes the air pressure between the two layers of glass when either hot or cold liquids are added. Permeable only to air, never water, The vent enhances durability and will never allow liquids to enter between the two layers.
